All of our PAF Humbuckers are hand wound to Gibson’s classic double coil pickup specs and offer a great tone that is clean and articulate, yet rich and warm, with very good note separation. The great balance, clarity and lower mid drive that P.A.F's are known for.
Alnico IV humbuckers are stronger than Alnico II and less aggressive than Alnico V. Balanced response, clear and sweet high end, smooth mids and thight low end. Tone is full, but never harsh or muddy. Excellent dynamics and “flutey” saturations. Articulate, crisp top end, and a very detailed bottom. Also perfect for your Peter Green tone (classic “out of phase” set available on demand).

Underwound: brighter overall tone, great definition. Very well suited for darker sounding guitars and amps. Neck 7.2K, Bridge 7.7K
Standard: classic Paf tone and balanced frequency response. Neck 7.5K, Bridge 8.0K
Overwound: smoother trebles and increased midrange, still retaining a classic Paf character. Best for brighter sounding guitars and amps and/or overdriven sounds. Neck 8.0K, Bridge 8.8K
Bobbins: black, cream, white or zebra.
Lead Wire: vintage braided 2-leads wires, modern shielded 4 leads wire.
